Why can’t I get a facial wax done?

If you are on any prescription skincare, Retinol or Steroid based skin care, unfortunately we are unable to provide any facial waxing that comes with the treatment that you have booked due to risks of skin lifting. Depending on the product and dosage you are using, we will need you to be off the product for at least 1 week prior to your upcoming appointment should you wish to receive any waxing.
We do however offer tweezing as the alternative to waxing to tidy and sculpt your brows.
We do not offer waxing for any cosmetic tattoo on the day of your appointment as pigment can implant into any micro tears caused by waxing. We also suggest you to get your brows waxed at least 1 week prior should you wish to have them waxed and tidy. However, your brows will still be tidied during your appointment.

Is there any pain with Cosmetic Tattooing?

Browskii only use high grade, Australian approved topical anaesthetic agent to numb the treated area for all required procedures.
This is made by a trusted compound pharmacy to order. Most clients feel little to no pain.
Any pain, if felt, is described as tolerable, and the results are worth the minor discomfort.

Due to the change of Queensland health policy, you are required to pay for your own secondary numbing agent
($22) for use during the procedure. We are unable to cover this cost.

The numbing agent is sufficient for 2 sessions. We recommend having the anaesthetic agent filled to ensure a more comfortable experience. The agent may also help with retention. You will receive information how to order in your appointment confirmation email.

How long will my cosmetic tattoo last?

This depends on your skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle. Longevity of pigment also varies depending on how well your skin holds the pigment.

Browskii recommend clients revisit approximately four to ten weeks after the initial appointment for our complimentary perfection visit.
The touch up is essential to complete the process. Fading occurs due to increase sun exposure, contact with facial chemical peels and facial products containing any AHAs.
Blondes and lighter pigments will appear to fade faster than darker pigments.

Should you choose not to have a yearly refresh, your tattoo will fade over a period of approximately 1 to 3 years.
