PRP is safe as it uses the patient’s own blood serum without the addition of any foreign products. The treatment works by drawing a small sample of your blood, which is then spun in a centrifuge machine on site. The plasma is then separated from the blood sample.

Plasma is the layer enriched with all the nutrients, growth factors, healing factors, and platelets. We then use this supercharge, platelet-rich plasma to reinject back into the treatment area to stimulate collagen and elastin production.

PRP is also not a new treatment. It’s long been recognised and used in hospitals and in sports medicine for its effective wound healing properties.

Post-liposuction fibrosis is a condition marked by uneven skin texture after surgery. This can manifest as hard lumps beneath the skin's surface. Fibrosis involves the thickening and scarring of connective tissue.

Depending on the severity of your fibrosis, one or a combination of methods may be required to break up your fibrosis.

Radiofrequency treatments are another effective method. They use energy waves to heat deep layers of skin without damaging the top layer. This process can soften fibrotic tissues, making them less stiff and painful. It's a non-invasive option that has gained popularity due to its effectiveness. PRP promotes wound healing and during the treatment window, tissues are soften as new cells regenerate, it is then essential to combine deep massages to break the fibrous tissue up.

The treated area will be numbed topically while we collect your blood sample and prepare for the procedure.

The plasma is then micro-needled into your skin using our Dermapen or Skin Pen device. Certain areas (like crow’s feet and smile lines) with deeper wrinkles may require additional injections.

Depending on the type of scars presented, it may be needled, injected or tackled with multi modalities to deliver the PRP.

Typically the whole procedure takes between 40 to 60 minutes with minimal discomfort.

~ We asks that you do not fasts and drink plenty of water prior to your appointment to allow easier access to your veins.

~ Avoid drinking caffeine and alcohol in excess few days before your appointment as it will affect your blood quality.

~ Avoid getting the treatment done if you have recently been ill/sick. We say to give a week to fully recover.

~ Avoid getting the treatment done if you are on any antibiotics as it can affect your blood quality.

It is natural for your skin to feel warm and tight straight after. Some redness and swelling will be present for 24 to 48 hours. Depending on areas treated, you may also experience some minor bruising - usually due to injection rather than the micro-needling method, which may take up to a week to disappear.

These symptoms are an excellent indicator that you are responding to the treatment and will subside as your skin continues to heal.

Most are able to continue their day after their treatment. We recommend not using any makeup for the first 24 hours. If required, it should be a mineral base coverage product.

We however do not recommend getting this done 1 week prior to events.

PRP uses skin needling to deliver the platelets into your skin. As PRP contains concentrated nutrients, growth factors, and healing properties, when this supercharged serum is added to your skin needling treatment, it is essentially increasing your skin cell renewals and healing by many folds.

Essentially you are getting both treatments at the same time.

Usually 4 weeks post treatment as your skin needs time to heal and reproduce collagen and allow the new layers of skin to reach the top.

We do recommend coming in for a course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart for maximum results and longevity depending on your goals.
