CARE
brow and lash CARE
Simple steps to follow before and after your brow or lash appointment.
Please follow these instructions closely. Everyone is different, so if anything feels unusual after your appointment, call the clinic on 0417 322 366.
Before any brow or lash appointment
- Let us know about any allergies, sensitivities, medications, eye conditions or pregnancy when you book.
- Tell us if you are using retinoids, exfoliating products or have recently used Roaccutane, as these can make skin more sensitive.
- We cannot treat areas with cuts, irritation, sunburn or infection. Please call us to reschedule.
- If you have not had the service with us before, we may do a patch test first.
Your appointment
Brow lamination
Before
- Arrive with clean brows, free of makeup, if you can.
- Avoid waxing, threading or tinting your brows on the day of your appointment.
- Avoid retinoids, exfoliants and active skincare around the brows for 2 days before.
After
- Keep your brows dry for 24 hours. This includes water, steam, saunas and swimming.
- Avoid heavy sweating and exercise for 24 hours.
- Do not rub, pick or brush your brows heavily for 24 hours.
- No makeup on your brows for 24 hours.
- Avoid oils, retinoids and exfoliating products near your brows for 48 hours.
- If your therapist gave you a brow product to use, follow the instructions you were given.
- If you notice itching, swelling or irritation that does not settle, call the clinic.
Brow sculpt and tint
Before
- Arrive with clean brows, free of makeup, if you can.
- Avoid waxing or threading your brows for 24 hours before.
- Let us know if you have had a tint reaction before.
- Avoid fake tan on your brows and forehead before your appointment.
After
- Keep your brows dry for 24 hours, as water and steam can fade your tint sooner.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming and heavy sweating for 24 hours.
- Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, peels and facials near your brows for 48 hours.
- Oils and heavy cleansers can fade your tint. Keep them away from your brows where you can.
- Mild redness around the brows can occur and usually settles on its own. If you notice swelling, itching or irritation that does not settle, call the clinic.
Lash lift
Before
- Arrive with clean lashes and no eye makeup. Please leave off mascara and eyeliner.
- If you wear contact lenses, bring your glasses or a case, as lenses need to be removed.
- Lash extensions need to be removed before a lash lift.
- We cannot treat if you have any eye infection or irritation. Please call us to reschedule.
- Tell us if you have had a reaction to lash products before.
After
- Do not rub your eyes or lashes.
- Keep your lashes dry for 24 hours. This includes water and steam.
- No mascara for 24 hours.
- Avoid sleeping on your side for the first night, if you can.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming and heavy sweating for 24 hours.
- Do not use an eyelash curler, and brush your lashes gently with a clean spoolie.
- If you notice irritation, redness or discomfort that does not settle, call the clinic.
